

Widget Technologies is a small software business that is located in Reno, NV.

Widget software is designed specifically for the Windows 95/98/NT operating system and was created with Borland's C++ Builder 4 and Borland's C++ Builder 5. Borland's Builder is a rapid application development(RAD) product for writing Window's programs. For those of you who are not familiar with the Builder product, it is somewhat similiar to Visual Basic (that hurt to say that). I say somewhat because while Builder is drop and drag like VB, that is where the similarities end. Borland's Builder uses Delphi RAD with the power of C++ to help create Window program faster and easier than before.

There are two types of downloads at this site, freeware and shareware. Freeware, like the name implies, is free. Please feel free to distribute and use it as you see fit. The second type of download is shareware. The shareware programs are not crippled in anyway, all functionality will be available at the time of download. Some programs will have a reminder form and other programs will time out. This will depend upon the program and will stated at the download site. Most of the timed programs will give you at least 30 days from the time of install to test the program. Most of the programs with a reminder form will allow for 20 uses before appearing. After the twentith use a form will appear reminding you to register the product. For this type I just ask that if you continue to use the product after a reasonable trial period that you buy and register
